Thicker paper to inspire your next masterpiece!

For drawing and sketching, painting, creating wedding invitations, visitor cards and a variety of other art and craft creations there are acid-free archival cartridge pads. Heavier and textured, cartridge pad paper sheets embrace your lines and graduations and absorb any drawing medium you are using; pencils, pastels or charcoals. The paper is thick enough so that a single artwork on the first page of the pad does not destroy the entire book through leakage or indentations. (Although cartridge paper is best suited to dry mediums, heavier weight versions can take some watercolour and ink with minimum buckling). Cartridge pads are available in a smooth or medium grain surfaces and come in a range of sizes (A2, A3, A4, A5, and A6). We have the perfect pad to suit your next sketching or art project. Fun fact: Did you know that prior to the manufacture of metallic firearm cartridges for ammunition, firearm cartridges were made out of this heavy paper? The paper was often coated in beeswax or any kind of grease to add water resistance and lubrication to the bullet so that it did not stick inside the firearm.
