In 1955, Henry Levison invented the first water-based acrylic gesso, combining the words liquid and texture, he named it Liquitex. That was the beginning of the acrylic paint as we know it today.  Since then Liquitex has continued to innovate and this versatile range has expanded to include Acrylic Paints, Acrylic inks, Acrylic Spray Paint, Acrylic Gouache, Acrylic Markers and a huge range of Acrylic Mediums.
